10 Things I Hate about Your Site has been nominated for Best Web Design Blog. The nominator wanted everyone to know that they chose this site because it provides constructive, helpful feedback for bloggers and website designers who want an objective opinion about their design and content ( not just their mom’s opinion)

On this particular blog, we found this information to pass on to you regarding not only the site, but the blogger as well ” I’m an instructional designer for a CMS company, and a free-lance web designer. I’ve been on the internet since 1997, and have been creating sites (both good and bad) since then………I look at the overall design elements of a site and make recommendations based on general best practices, common design theories, readability, navability, and overall common sense. I will NOT say I hate any site or blog. I WILL tell you 10 things that could be improved to make your site or blog better/prettier/easier to read, etc.”

First thing I like about this blog is the smirking child in the header, just tickles me as a grandpa, funny.
But some review blogs revel in ripping sites they review a new one but offer no useful comments or suggestions for improvement.
10 Things I Hate about Your Site would sound like one of those but this site does offer good feedback to help a blog owner tweak, refine and improve.
BTW I am not saying all this just because I submitted my blog for a review!

Nice simple site with a fantastic picture of a baby (inspiring in itself). With this kind of picture it would be most likely difficult to say that I hate that on his site. Page layout is good, site nav is well structured and content is entertaining. Good job

This is a helpful site. The lady herself is always friendly and that most probably explains why the sites requesting review are steadily piling up. Web-Betty, I am holding thumbs for you.

I like dark tones in a design. Like the design in blognetawards.com and web-Betty’s 10thingsihateaboutyoursite.com.A thumbs up for this blog. As for the content, it should also be nominated in best blogger’s blog.

I love this site! I admit, I was originally drawn to it by that adorable baby in the header, but now I visit often and actually take the time to read what she has to say because I find it interesting and helpful. She critiques in such a way that she doesn’t bash the author, just points to obvious flaws. In the long run, if they’d apply her advice, they will be much better off.

my only complaint about this blog is that it doesn’t get updated as often as I would like…I drop on it every day and always check for new posts.

Flitting is absolutely correct, that I don’t update as often as I should. This is a goal I set for myself this year. Look for a new post in the next day or two
