Americymru – An American Welsh Blog

Best Literary Blog

Best Literary Blog

Nominated for Best Literary Blog is Americymru – An American Welsh Blog. The nominator of this site describes it as a blog of book reviews, interviews with Welsh artists and celebrities and news about their work and other similar things.

As part of the nomination process, the BlogNet Awards team reviews all the blog sites manually to make sure that they meet our high standards. When we went to this site, we found out that the author is Ceri Shaw, a native of Cardiff, Wales and a former Welsh history tutor and teacher who now lives in the US. This site is a real love affair with Wales from interviews with such singers as Paul Child, different book reviews, sharing and showcasing other blogs and so much more. We listened to the Burlington Welsh Male chorus and read an interview with Russell sheppard and saw many photographs of this beautiful country.

Americymru is a wonderful networking website for those interested in Wales and all things Welsh. A great resource with interviews with Lloyd Jones author of Mr. Cassini, Mr. Vogel and My First Colouring Book, another interview with Paul Child, official singer of the Welsh Rugby Union and Chris Needs, BBC Radio Wales presenter and host who is wildly popular. There are, also, short story competitions, Pirate look alike competitions, many book reviews and much, much more.

While I love the whole website, the blog has some fun and interesting stuff all by itself. The Iolo Multnomah story promises to be killer, as it takes one from hilarity to suspense and back again. Enjoy!

Americymru is for everyone who loves Wales & has lots of really good info about Welsh in USA & in Wales. I am one of the lucky ones. I live in Wales, in Myddfai http://www.myddfai.net a tiny village in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Come & see us sometime.

This is undoubtedly one of the best sites on the internet for anyone of Welsh descent or who loves the magical, mystical land of Wales and suffers from ‘hiraeth’ if they don’t visit often enough! Iechyd da!
