Doonesbury – The Sandbox

Best Military Blog

Best Military Blog

Nominated for the Best Military Weblog is Doonesbury- The Sandbox which is described as a site dedicated to service members deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.

It was an honor for the BlogNet Awards Team to review this milblog which is the proper name for a military blog site. Reading from men and women their experiences, their reflections sometimes funny many times not was an eyeopener for us. Like all military blogs, is a clean lightly – edited debriefing environment. You will read about Elaborate Force Protection Measures, insurgents, posts from friends and family. The images you will see are not ones that you may see posted on the television, but are ones that bring you a little closer to what these men and women see on a daily basis. While many see only and not to be taken lightly the dangers these people face, we also found posts about the meetings between Americans and Afghans that will help you learn about a different culture and different way of life. This is a blog that you should read, vote and comment on if for no other reason to say hello to a great bunch of people.

This blog will give people an indication on what the people serving over in the middle east are going through and what they are trying to accomplish. I also have to give these people kudos for the service they are doing.
