The Author/nominator of this site describes his blog in this way “This blog follows my wife and I as we journey to do something green every single day of the year. We are over seven months into this, and have done over 230 green things so far. We have been featured in several news programs, radio shows and newspapers as well as other blogs. It is our goal to raise awareness among readers as to all the things we can do to go green.”

From dealing with such issues as how to handle ice, storing snow, ideas for reusing CD’s to environmental statistics and stories, this blog is a must read for anyone who cares about their world, their environment.

I’ve been following “Our Green Year” for much of the past year and commend Craig and Layla for taking the initiative to show us the many ways in which we can help our world. They’ve outlined many creative and practical ways to become greener in our daily lives, which has inspired me to pay more attention and make changes in my home and community. As former neighbors, and really nice people, I know they live what they speak.

I was impressed with all the green things Layla and Craig have accomplished this year .. their ‘Green Year.’ I’m sure that they will continue to keep green and they have given us some very useful tips on being green. I’m voting a BIG 10 for them.

I only discovered “our green year” recently and I must say I am very impressed. Their articles are amazing and eye opening how simple it is to actually reduce our carbon footprint on this world.
I encourage everyone to read Layla and Craig’s blog.
