The Purple Youth
By admin on Dec 10, 2008 in Best Political Blog
The Purple Youth has been nominated for the Best Political Blog category. This site has been described as a perspective from a diverse group of opinionated, informed and intelligent teenagers talking about politics, culture, sports, and other topics that are of interest to them.
As the BlogNet Awards team did their review, we were very impressed by the professional way this blog site is set up and the content delivered to its readers. The founder of this site Gabriel Rom as well as the other owners Jon Goldsmith and Max Godnick have created discussions on everything from The Iraq War, Africa, the UN and we found that their opinions are well thought out and passionate in their wanting to be heard. A small exerpt from one of the opinions given should provide a sampling of how these people think; “Being only 17 years of age, I have difficulty remembering the ancient glory days of the United States of America. I missed the Berlin Airlift, I missed the Berlin Wall, I missed the first man on the moon, I missed Victory in Europe day and I missed the images of Iwo Jima. I saw, however, Barack Obama become president and leader of the Free world. The tensions are high. The problems are daunting. The going will be tough. But there is hope. For the first time in my short life I believe things will change.”

I just checked out this site a short time before it was nominated. These kids seem keen on their subject material, and the professionality is stunning. The clear choice for best political blog.

This is political blog indeed. Good layout and the choice of colors (although I do not like purple) blends with your domain name… Must read

Nice blog layout, good theme, article content is very small should probably have less content on homepage so readers can absorb more information.
